ValueCommerce Now Offers Product Information of More than 30 Million Items on the ValueCommerce Web Service Starting Paste My Gadget and Get Paid! Campaign
ValueCommerce Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Tokyo Stock Exchange Mothers Stock Code: 2491, Chairman & CEO: Brian Nelson, ValueCommerce) is pleased to announce that the number of ecommerce websites compatible with the ValueCommerce Web Service has reached 155 and the number of registered product item information has exceeded 30 million as of December 31, 2008. Moreover, the Paste My Gadget and Get Paid! Campaign! starts today to encourage the use of My Gadget, a blog parts-type advertisement in which the latest information is distributed automatically.
ValueCommerce Web Service functions as the interface between the ecommerce site and Affiliate Partners when product information is exchanged between them, and comprises the Product Database System on which the ecommerce site registers products and the Product Search API. The Product Database System houses the database of product information prepared by the ecommerce site, adding the ValueCommerce advertisement code. As of December 31, 2008, 155 ecommerce sites were offering product information on 30.44 million items. Affiliate Partners can receive the product information in bulk through preset procedures, or directly search the Product Database using Search API and receive the search results in XML format.
For the convenience of all Affiliate Partners, ValueCommerce is also offering a Product Linking Tool that makes it easy for them to search for products to advertise on blogs and websites and form a link for specific products. Starting in December, the My Gadget function for making blog parts-type advertisements has also been made available, in which the latest product information is automatically distributed from the Product Database System based on the preset search conditions.

My Gadget function
My Gadget is a service for creating a banner for any product chosen from the rich lineup of product data registered on the ValueCommerce Web Service. Without using API, as with the ValueCommerce Web Service, any product list banner can be created with customized sizes and designs, simply by operating from the control screen. The banners created can be pasted on blogs and website pages without modifications.
- New functions offered with My Gadget :
- Cross search is possible for all products on ecommerce sites, chosen based on the keyword, product code (JAN), price and commission.
- The design, size (up to 1,000 pixels wide and 2,000 pixels high), and color of the advertisement can be chosen freely, to suit the layout of blogs and websites.
- Gadgets created can be stored and corrected at any time.
- An application can be made for packaged collaboration with compatible ecommerce sites (advertisers).
Paste My Gadget and Get Paid! Campaign
ValueCommerce is running Paste My Gadget and Get Paid! Campaign from January 20 to March 10, 2009, to promote use of the My Gadget service, which makes it easy for anyone to use the data of ValueCommerce Web Service as a banner.
Outline of the Campaign:
One hundred Affiliate Partners selected in a draw from among those who posted My Gadget on their websites during the campaign period will be paid a commission of 1,000 yen.
