[ Matchsmart ]
Matchsmart is a cost-per-click content-matched ad distribution service launched by ValueCommerce on August 31, 2006. The advertising rates are determined through bidding. Matchsmart is powered by advanced technology from Yahoo Japan Corporation that enables sophisticated analysis of Japanese text on the webpage. This allows advertisements to be displayed on websites that are well suited to the ads and enables advertisers to place their ads on websites from which high advertising effect is expected. Since the content is matched with the ads, website operators can anticipate sizeable ad click counts.

Matchsmart assesses whether specific websites are appropriate to its system before it distributes ads to them. The websites are sorted into several groups, called subnetworks, by hit counts and content, so that advertisers can more easily choose websites suited to their ads. Subnetworks reflect different levels of hit counts and content and an appropriate fee rate is preset for each of them. The advertising rate per click varies depending on the subnetwork under which the websites carrying the ad fall. Given the rate, advertisers may choose which websites they want to carry their ads. And they can pay prices appropriate to the quality of the media that display their ads, such as hit counts and content. Platinum Websites are websites that falls under the top-rated subnetwork.
