ValueCommerce and the Ippan Shadan Hojin Yakkiho Iryoho Kikaku Kyokai Co-host UPMR Act and PMD Act Study Session

ValueCommerce Co., Ltd. (the “Company”) and the Ippan Shadan Hojin Yakkiho Iryoho Kikaku Kyokai (literal translation: PMD Act and Medical Care Act Standards Association) co-hosted an online study session about the Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations (the “UPMR Act”) and the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Act (the “PMD Act”) for affiliate site providers on Wednesday, November 10, 2021.
The Company received more applications than could be accommodated with the limited capacity of the study session, which indicated strong interest among affiliates.
With the cooperation of the Zenkoku Yakkiho Iryoho Bengoshi Kyokai (literal translation: Japan PMD Act and Medical Care Act Bar Association), a lawyer with expertise regarding the UPMR Act and the PMD Act explained the basics of both of these acts and the revisions that have been made to them. In the viewers’ questionnaire conducted after the study session, the responses of many affiliate site providers indicated the importance of and need for opportunities to learn and gain an understanding of relevant laws and the importance of regularly updating information about the laws.
