ValueCommerce Co., Ltd. (head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and CEO: Jin Kagawa; hereinafter, “ValueCommerce”) announces its decision to implement the following measures in order to maintain safe living and working conditions for its employees and their families, and for its client companies, in response to the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus infection.
◆ Measures to be implemented
1. Remote working (strongling encourage employees to work from home)
We strongly encourage our employees to work from home.
2. Recommending staggered start and finish times
When it is necessary for employees to come in to work at the office, we change their core working hours under our flex time system, and recommend them to come and leave the office by avoiding commuting during busy times. Working at the office will require the prior approval of the division general manager or higher. As a general rule, such work and numbers of employees coming into the office will be kept to a minimum.
3. Prohibiting work-related events
As a general rule for business-related events hosted by the company, hosting of events attended by 10 people or more will be prohibited.
4. Prohibiting business trips (domestic and overseas)
As a general rule, business trips both within Japan and overseas will be prohibited.
5. Prohibiting employees from leaving the office and receiving visitors
As a general rule, meetings will be conducted online; employees will be prohibited from leaving the office (or their homes) to attend meetings outside the company, and scheduling of meetings at the office attended by visitors from outside the company will also be prohibited.
6. Changing methods for conducting recruitment interviews
First round interviews will be conducted online, using services such as Skype and Zoom. Decisions regarding second round interviews will be made in view of circumstances at the time.
ValueCommerce currently intends to implement the above measures until Friday July 3. However, the length of this period may be shortened or extended depending on circumstances at the time.
